Returning to endurance commitments with SK-R Team in the Extrema Endurance Series, the championship of endurance races organized by Futura Corse, held at the Extrema Kart Speedway in Massa Finalese (MO).

In the fifth round, there are 17 teams registered for a 2-hour race, serving as the penultimate round of the series. The lineup for this round includes Sebastiano Bondi, Simone Marchetti, and Jacopo Bondi.

The qualifying session did not start in the best way. Influenced by a vehicle that was not performing at its best and a general difficulty in interpreting the track due to high temperatures, improving lap times proved to be challenging. Despite their efforts, the recorded times struggled to improve, resulting in a final twelfth-place position at the end of the available half-hour session.

At the start, a less-than-ideal getaway by Jacopo Bondi caused SK-R Team to lose positions, unfortunately placing them in the middle of an aggressive battle that cost them significant time during the first stint.

After the initial mandatory pit stops, the race pace improved, with Sebastiano Bondi and Simone Marchetti alternating behind the wheel without major issues, up until the unfortunate incident at the end of the first hour of the race.

A broken chain forced Simone Marchetti to stop his kart during his stint, losing more than two laps while waiting for the vehicle replacement. This incident nullified the efforts made in the earlier stints and dropped SK-R Team to the second-to-last position overall.

The race concluded bitterly in sixteenth place, although the race pace remained very consistent in the second hour, indicating that a top-5 finish would have certainly been within reach without the technical issue. Victory went to Scuderia A16, who finished ahead of ACRT Team and RC Motorsport.

Despite the bad luck, SK-R Team's consistency was rewarded with securing third place in the championship in the Star category, a position they will need to defend in the final and challenging 4-hour round on September 22nd.
